Waking up every morning to views of such stunning natural
beauty is like taking a step back in time, a return to the
unspoilt landscapes of natural coves, a far cry from the
mass tourism and lines of high-rise blocks stretching into
the distance.
Peñiscola
and Sierra de Irta are situated on Castellón´s
Costa Azahar, one of Europe´s top quality tourist
destinations.
Castellón has 120 km of coastline and is the second
most mountainous province in Spain. Peñagolosa is
the highest mountain, rising 1,814m above sea level. Its
forests, rivers, gorges and fine sandy beaches can be enjoyed
all year long.
Sport
forms an essential part of life in Irta. Just a few kms
away is the Panorámica de Sant Jordi sports complex
and the Costa Azahar golf course, one of the province´s
finest. In the near future sports facilities in the area
will also inculde the golf course and marina planned for
Peñiscola.
